We’ve had a summer of getting fit! Partly because I am deeply unfit and partly because Bernard gets very bored when there are no ballet lessons to go to!
So we signed up for the gym and started classes. Zumba twice a week, and swimming as often as possible. The plan is to go to the fitness room at some point in the future, but I’m not ready for the lycra clad, bronzed bodies and pumping iron until I can at least get up the stairs without stopping for a rest – so maybe later in the year!
I’ve loved the classes, our instructor is a complete darling and always manages to raise a smile even when you have a face like a beetroot and can’t draw breath.
In order to give myself the best chance possible to get on in the classes I decided a decent pair of shoes was in order so I asked the lovely ladies at Hotter shoes if they could help me out and they have been a life saver!
I mean who doesn’t want a pair of purple trainers!
And they have to be the comfiest trainers ever! I was able to have a wide fit (not normally an option with trainers)
There is plenty of spring in the sole and which my dodgy knees have been very grateful for. Plenty of space for my foot to spread and not feel cramped, supportive arch which means no achy feet after the class and a padded edge to support the ankle!
The removable sole has equally been a god send I have been able to take it out and air the shoes completely, which has meant not only comfort and support but I have done 7 weeks of fitness and days out on my feet and my shoes are not smelly!
As we have found before. the service from Hotter is excellent and the staff in store are always keen to help, nothing is too much trouble.
On the whole, well worth the money in my opinion, they have taken a good bashing this summer and still look and feel like new. I would happily have another pair when they wear out (although I suspect that may not be for some time!)
Disclosure – we were sent a pair of trainers for review purposes, but the opinions expressed are all honest and our own
