How to Brighten Up Your Autumn Wardrobe
Whilst we’re enjoying the last of the summer weather, shops are stocking up with their new autumn and winter ranges, and here’s the exciting part – it’s still colourful!
Without wanting to get depressing, we often associate the end of the summer months with a temperature drop, dark nights and a drab wardrobe – not ideal. But whilst we might soon be grabbing the extra blanket for the bottom of our bed our wardrobe doesn’t have to suffer.
Printed trousers, colourful coats and accessories are this season’s go-to items for your autumn wardrobe – and even if you’re not a colourful dresser, there are still plenty of options to ensure that this season you don’t pull on the same pair of black trousers day after day.
Printed ladies trousers often come in the form of cigarette pants and harem trousers. Cigarette trousers are a really flattering option, especially for shorter people, as the high waist gives your legs added length. There are also a variety of different printed patterns in the shops so you can mix and match.
Or, if printed patterns aren’t for you, Cotton Traders ladies trousers comes in a variety of colours. Plain coloured trousers also match with more colours and styles of top.
The choice is up to you!
Pink coats – yes, we’re serious. Pink coats are all over the latest fashion blogs as this season’s hottest trend. Statement coats are all about how they make you feel so whilst they’re certainly a bold move they don’t have to be too in your face! Colourful coats come in all shapes, sizes and shades so it’s up to you whether you’re into bright colours or lighter shades. This pink coat from Cotton Traders is a great colourful addition to your wardrobe without being too bright in tone.
However, a pink coat isn’t everyone’s first choice for a winter coat or jacket for the upcoming season. If you’re not sure which colour coat is the best match for you, why not ask friends and family.
Even the simplest gesture can brighten up your mood (and your wardrobe) when it comes to your autumn clothing. For the colour shy, a simple scarf is the best way to keep your look colourful and fresh during autumn – whether that’s a large wrap around scarf or a simple silk neck scarf. Brightening up your look is simple.
Just remember – don’t wear them all at once! Colourful pieces work best when you keep the rest of your look neutral.
