It’s October already, the summer is over the leaves are turning to their usual Autumn hues……
Sounds lovely doesn’t it?
But it does mean that I have to dig into the back of the loft and find my winter coat. It’s looking pretty old now, a bit worn at the seams and so last year darling! Well so 5 years ago darling really! I should probably have bought a new one a few years back, but this one is so lovely I don’t like to get rid of it! Feels a little disloyal, it has done sterling work and survived many cold and wet winter mornings, but I think it really is time for the great big wardrobe in the sky!
So I’m on the hunt for something new, something tailored to to look good, cosy for those cold winter mornings but that’s practical for day to day use,
Littlewoods winter coat range have a lovely selection this year, to cover everyone’s tastes in design and colour. This one particularly is very beautiful.
I love full long coats and the fuller skirt is lovely, but it’s not the sort of thing I could wear everyday, so maybe I need to aim in a different direction!
The Paddington bear duffel is always good and this one does look yummy in the red. And the fur edge to hood must make it toasty and warm.
But scanning the website, this one jumped out of the page at me!
I love the patchwork effect, the choices of fabric are lovely, andthe colour is just about my favourite.
Formal enough to be used at a “grown up” event but causal enough to be practical on a day to day basis. I can imagine the different textures give it a really lovely finish too!
Where you stand on winter coats? Do you have an old favourite you’ll keep on wearing til if falls off you or do you go for a new one every year?
