I know I’ve said this before – but I must get fit! I must be able to do more without sitting down for a rest and I must weigh less than I do now!
So this is it! I am going to get fit! I am going to lose weight and I am going to keep it off!
There are many reasons for this and they are all equally important!
I have agreed to take part in the mammoth John O’Groats to Lands End relay, with the very very wonderful Team Honk – raising money for a very worthy cause and spending time with amazing and inspiring people! But I’m naff all use to them if we have to stop every 300 yards for a sit down!
I need to avoid health issues in later life. We all know the risk of diabetes, joint problems, heart disease etc. Well I want to be around long enough to be a nuisance to my children and that’s not going to happen if I stay like this!
So here it is! getting fit, losing weight and be healthy!
I have signed back to the gym this week, I’ve been to 3 exercise classes and I’m going to keep going! I’m not ready for the fitness room yet – weights and machines etc. I’m kinda self concious about it and want to be fitter to begin with, before I start that.
So walking every day – classes at least 3 times a week and being careful about what I eat!
So if you see me tucking into a bag of chips or using the car when I could be walking – then feel to shout at me – politely of course I’m quite a sensitive soul!
