Ever since I was a tiny person, I’ve wanted a proper welsh dresser! The parents of a school friend had one, patterned plates, nick-nacks and the sweetie box hidden in one of the many drawers.
Now I’m a grown up, I still hanker for a a dresser, somewhere to put the odd plates which don’t fit in the cupboard, the odd things we collect and people send me as gifts, and lots of drawers to hide the junk and my secret chocolate stash!
Wandering around the web site for Furniture Plus is heavenly for a dresser obsessive like me! Such a beautiful range, I could surf the pages all day!
Much of the goods are sourced through Devonshire Pine who in the interests of the environment fuel their factory with the wood shavings they create making the furniture as well as sourcing their raw materials from sustainable producers.
Furniture that looks beautiful and is kinder to the world around us – yes please! I do love proper wood, not glued together fibre pieces, somewhere you can see the grain and growth of the wood. Something with a heart and a history. and most importantly something which will last, something which will colour with age and look even more beautiful in 20 years than it does now!
There are some wonderful offers on the site at the moment and it is well worth a visit! If nothing else just to share my love of dressers – go on – you know you want to!!
