Here we are then – week 3 already!
I have to say I’m loving this link up! I had no idea cookery books were so good to read – although I would advise not doing that when you’re hungry!
This weeks dish is courtesy of a book I bought many years ago from the book people who used to come round to the office. It was as cheap as chips and has a wealth of quick and easy recipes. I’ve done 1 or 2 in the past, but since we moved 18 months ago it has been lingering in a box so it seemed only fair to let it see the sun and feel fresh air on it’s spine!
Having looked through it for some inspiration I came to the decision to make something yummy, wholesome and filling for a cold wet winter evening, a favourite of Badger but something he sadly does without (again!) because we’ve yet to find a GF version in the supermarket – Gnocchi!
I never realised how easy it was! Mashed potato, cornflour and eggs – and it’s good squishy recipe you can get your hands into – like bread dough or pastry!
Cooked in boiling water for 2 minutes and then an oven proof dish with grated cheese and toasted under the grill for a few minutes……nom nom!
There are a million and one other options, tomato sauce, blue cheese pretty much anything you’d put with pasta! We opted for cheese, crispy green salad and crusty bread!
I’m going to make them again at the weekend and cook them like roast potatoes and serve them with Sunday dinner – because………well why not!
So here’s the link – what have you lot been making this week? looking forward to seeing them all!
