This week – vegetarian!
Having cooked yummy meaty dishes for the rest of the family in the last couple of weeks, I thought it was my turn!
So a favourite of mine (which I’ve always made from a packet before) …..Falafel
Using the lovely book sent to me from Parragon books – Vegetarian step by step
Seems a nice easy recipe, not too many expensive ingredients, what can possibly go wrong!
Well……. I’m not convinced they’re going to taste right. It seems a little bland and I prefer a bit of bite to my falafel. But the proof will be in the eating so I’ll let you know after dinner!
So what have you cooked this week?
LOVE this! I’ll be really interested to see how they taste as I’m a huge fan of Falafel, having spent a year after school living on a Kibbutz in Israel, and having recently gone veggie – almost vegan! Fab post x

sadly they were very disappointing! I will have to go back to the cauldron mix, always tasty and a much better texture! Oh well live and learn!

oh I love falafel, sometimes my own and sometimes the ready made frozen ones as they are so handy!
I had completely forgotten about 52 cook books this week, the week has flown by – I shall be rummaging through my books tomorrow!
