Yesterday a friend posted a quote on FB – and it appeared in my news stream sandwiched between to awesome photographs of other friends being very silly!
So basically (without all the advertising rubbish and chat boxes) my facebook looked like this:-

And that just about sums up the last couple of weeks of batons, scooters, running, road trips, elephants, coffee mornings, instagrams, tweets, donations, live action board games, honks and a myriad of other nonsense.
Because they were made to feel a part of something very special. Because they were made to feel that they really could make a difference to people in need. Because they were made to feel that they could do anything they strove to do!
And it rather sums up what I have seen in bloggers. Oh there are always grumpy people who don’t want to play nicely together or feel they have an axe to grind. But for the most part they are a grand group of people. Who will band together when someone is in need, send flowers or chocolate – or gin – to someone in crisis, support someones right to complain or bitch about the world and when the chips are down, all pull in one direction to help a worth cause or be a safety net for someone who needs support.
So thank you Team Honk for making us all feel we can do this wonderful thing. Thank you for letting us to join in with your plans and feel part of something so special, but most of all thank you for raising so much money!
