Walks with my Dad part 1

April 18, 2014

I love spending time with the old bugger, And I often go for walks with my Dad. We talk over old rubbish and family stories. He tells me tales of his misspent youth during the blitz and generally put the world to rights! And I love it!

He found an old book tucked on the top of a shelf – the Ordnance Survey Leisure Guide for East Anglia (printed in 1993) and we’ve decided to work out way through all the walks there are in it. Ranging from North Norfolk to The South Essex Coast. So the first one was Stutton village and coast. A tiny village on the estuary close to Manningtree. Perfect spring sunshine and a gentle sea breeze! And because it’s the Easter holidays, Bernard could come with us What could be better than a girl and her G’dad!

Goodness knows where our feet will take us next – you’ll have to wait and see!

Aww this is just so lovely. I’d love to do this kind of thing with my Dad, but as he lives in New Zealand it’s not likely to happen. Oh well!

What lovely photos and what a great idea – I hope you make it through all the walks 🙂
We used to go walking lots when I was young, for my 12th birthday I asked if we could go to Ingleborough and walk up to the Gaping Gill – I was obviously your average 12 year old girl haha!
It was lovely though and we saw some lovely things and had a great time.
