I got sent a new cookery book through the post this week, so I thought maybe I’d use it for this weeks 52 cook books.
I have been so good about dieting recently that we’ve had no cake and biscuits in the house – much to the disgust of the rest of the family! So as a treat I made some yummy cookies from my new book – thank you Parragon Books
Now I do have to admit to being slightly puzzled at this recipe! Given that is was for “soft and chewy” cookies – the only fluid in it was 1 egg, which to my mind doesn’t make for soft or chewy!
But I decided to just use what they listed and the house smells wonderful, the cookies on the other hand?…. well they taste really good, but the are very dry and crumbly – no soft chewy cookie here!
But you know what? I don’t care! the sun is shining and what better way to spend the afternoon than in the sunshine with a pot of tea and a tin of warm from the oven biscuits!
