Our boy Splosh came home this weekend and we have had a wonderful time with family and friends catching up and enjoying our time with him, limited as it is!
A barbecue in the garden on Saturday afternoon was the perfect opportunity to snap some pictures for a blog post I’ve been thinking about for ages!
So after a yummy dinner, a certain amount of hero worship for Splosh from young Beans, and a riotous game throwing Missie May in the air, We settled them for a group shot!
I wanted to make the point about generations, and how friendships move on from one to another, about how important having grown up heros is – however, what we ended up with were 4 parents crying with laughter at their offspring, and 4 children just lapping up each others company and being the best of friends, despite the age gap and all of us knowing that in time there will be another generation of parents with little ones and the circle will continue!
Maybe next time I’ll get the picture I wanted, but then again these ones are so wonderful anyway – who cares!
