There is a lot of talk at the moment about the effects on people of the sweeteners in diet drinks. Is it poisonous to health, does it make you gain weight, etc etc etc.
Well I’m no expert, I have no science degree or high level medical training – but I can tell you it makes me feel like poop!
You can see any amount of the research online listing the side effects – headaches, nausea, chest pains, weight gain, anxiety attacks, memory loss – it just goes on and on!
The chances are you may suffer none of these, you may stay completely healthy throughout years of consuming it – who can tell! But I want you to just take a moment, just think, open your mind to a thought maybe. That aching back, niggling headache that won’t go away, that fuzzy feeling that you can’t shake, when you don’t want to face the world or open the door – what is really causing it? Do you have depression, do your eyes needs testing for eye strain, did you lift something too heavy yesterday or did you just drink one can too many of pop?
I saw the research, I listened and I cut it all out of my diet – guess what happened? All those things disappeared! I slept a whole night without waking, I didn’t have a headache, I met each day with enthusiasm and my joints stopped aching! I no longer felt the rising tide of panic as my heart rate fluttered – it stayed at a normal rhythm and I was’t tearful and upset at the slightest failure!
And I know it works – for real – for me! I was out with a friend at the weekend, and needed a drink, the only thing we had was a kids plastic cup drink – you know the sort with a sealed lid and a straw to force through it! I drank it, thirst quenched and continued with my day. The following morning, after a restless nights sleep, I felt as though I had flu – aching joints, swollen glands in my neck, headache, and just generally feeling bleurgh! By Tuesday I was feeling better and today – right back to my normal self!
Not clinical proof, not a double blind study with control groups and such – but the latest in a long line of crappy days when I have ingested aspartame!
Please people think before you drink this, think before you give it to your children – look at the links and research what it might do to you!
And just so you know – the only article that I could find in support of it – was from the Daily Mail – need I say more!
