As regular readers of the blog will know, I am off to uni very, very soon.
This came to me in a rather sudden, dawning realisation a few weeks ago. I was focused so hard on making sure I passed my exams, that I hadn’t really considered what would happen after that.
When Asda offered me the chance to get myself set up for my new student life, I jumped at the chance. . . I mean ….wouldn’t you?
Now where do you start when you need to set yourself up with everything?!
We made a list sorted by room; kitchen, bathroom, bedroom (yes, I have small organisation problem) and started shopping.
I am very pleased to report that the website is very easy to navigate, and has a lot options for how to organise your search, with sub categories, lists, etc, I like that (again organisational issues!) When the list was complete we had everything I needed: -duvet, pillows and cases – saucepans – plates and bowls – glasses – mugs – cutlery – towels – utensils (cheese-grater, wooden spoons, fish slice etc) – frying pan – tea towels and some Tupperware, And I had only spent £100.
There was a tonne of choice in style, especially with the bedding section. We went through them all having the debates of “too floral?” “too boy-ish?” “too photographic?”, not that I’m being totally neurotic about making just the right impression on my new flat mates . . . honest!
I could also have a full set of stylish, matching crockery (with good sized mugs for tea which is of course vital in the life of a student nurse) and without busting the budget.
I have to say as well, that the customer service team were amazing, sending a complete replacement set of crockery within a week, because one of the dinner plates was broken by the courier.
Amazing quality goods for the price, the towels are good and fluffy, the duvet cover is beautiful and will hopefully make the right impression on my new housemates and all chosen and sorted from the comfort of my own home!
So this is me, with the results I needed, and now fully kitted out for uni life, getting ready to head off!
I think I’ve got everything . . . But, if you were packing for me, what’s the essential thing you’d put in my suitcase?
We were given a voucher to spend with Asda.com for the purposes of review – all opinions are our own
