Here I am – a month into getting myself into shape and getting fit!
A month of going to the gym for regular body pump classes, zumba and swimming.
And how do I feel?
Well pretty bloody awesome to be honest!
I haven’t lost a huge amount of weight, but I have definitely changed shape.
My clothes fit differently, things that had really been a little on the tight side, I can now comfortably wear. The jeans I had been wearing for a while I can now take off without undoing them.
And I’m beginning to notice non weight related changes too!
My hair is in better condition, my skin is better and I haven’t noticed the usual spike of PMT hormones this month (the rest of the family may tell a different story of course)
And the best bit is spending so much lovely time with my girlie Bernard – laughing, encouraging each other on and crying together when muscles ache too much!
So now I have to convert this summer plan into a lifestyle plan! No giving up when Bernard goes off to uni, no “can’t be bothered” duvet days and getting my mental state and diet to a place where I can be a healthier me!
Watch this space……… and don’t tell anyone else of course – cos they’ll laugh………….. but weight training is fab! I love it! Now there’s something you never thought I’d say – me neither!
Good on you Mary – this is something I am planning to do when the kids go back to school and I get free time again – less inactivity!

Good for you. I have been doing Insanity with the husband and am finding much the same as you. No HUGE loss in weight but my trousers are hanging off me. I even went shopping today for new work trousers and bought a SIZE 10!!! Am also noticing my hair is much less dry. It must be the increased blood flow. Keep going lovely lady and I will try to too x

Oh very well done. I haven’t done it on anywhere near your scale, but have been regularly walking (and adding in bits of jogging) and last night I jogged a way (not far but for me) without losing my breath that previously I couldn’t do – and that felt so good.
Good luck with keeping on going.
