Well we survived the first month on our own! We have remembered to eat proper meals at proper times - which is quite a shock to everyone in the family to be honest! We have been out in public - on our own.....to a pub no less! We have stayed up late - even on a school night! And slept in at the weekends! Siblings – October
I haven't joined in this siblings link up for such a long time, but it's tough getting both my babies in the same place at the same time these days! So this month I have snatched an image they took themselves! Bernard is now settled at university, and last weekend we all joined her there for my birthday. I finally understand how the camera works!
Given that I was bought up by a camera buff, and was surrounded by camera and developing equipment most of my childhood, you'd think I would know how to use a camera properly! Well I figured as soon as there was an automatic setting I wouldn't have to learn so I didn't! And anyway making decisions on shutter speed and aperture setting just sounded too scary. So automatic setting ruled the day and I got some pretty good results really, but there was always a little part of my brain that new I could do better and one day I would have to learn it all! How lucky we are to be able to read these words! How lucky that if we had a problem with our sight that our wonderful (if struggling) NHS will be there to help us out. How lucky that we are never far from medical assistance or surgery if we need it. Can you imagine how many people there are in the world who aren't that lucky. When badger was struggling with his vision and diagnosed with a cataract at just 37 he was offered surgery and within 2 months his vision was back to normal.
