When Damart asked if I would review some clothes for them, I thought our recent trip to Scotland was the perfect opportunity to put them through their paces!
I’m a sucker for a toasty cardigan – and this one seemed too good to turn down – a neutral colour, a long line to keep be warm down to my knees and a simple design that won’t look out of place on a city centre wander or a hike up a mountain!
And I certainly wasn’t disappointed!
The colour was really lovely and with little coloured flecks throughout it was easy to make it look like a complete outfit (which for those of you who know me – is a rare thing!)
And toasty?? I had to take it off because I was so warm at one point! Stood on the banks of the River Tay in Dundee, in November, in a howling gale, the only bits that were cold the those outside the cardigan, and inside the museum I had to pack it away in my bag it was so warm!
My only criticism ? The sleeves are a little on the short side for me, although I am a big fan of sleeves down over my hands, so that’s a personal thing not a design flaw on their part necessarily.
Following a minor mishap with a muddy puddle (don’t ask, but it wasn’t elegant!) I had to sponge off and then wash the cardigan within days of getting it – but no worries, because despite my ability to shrink and ruin anything in a washing machine, it has come up beautifully and is just the same size and shape as it was when it went in!
You see Damart is not all thermal long-johns and woolly hats these days – there is a huge selection of clothes and shoes, as well as a nice selection of Christmas gift ideas, so well worth a browse for some relaxed – inj your PJ’s – present shopping!
I was also sent a rather nice pair of black jeans to review, sadly my bum is not yet small enough to fit in them – but I’m working hard at the gym and I’m aiming to be in them by Christmas – so watch this space!
Now I’m off for a wander in the woods with my darling dad, what shall I wear………………………………………………………..
I was sent a cardigan & jeans for the purposes of review, all opinions are my own and honest!
