Have I told you about my Dad?
83 next month and we’re still running to keep up with him!
Dancing like a hooligan at Bernard’s 18th birthday last Easter
Playing in the snow in Scotland with Splosh & Irish Baby earlier this year
Quad biking with my brother in America – He was 80 at the time!
Fire watching in the mountains of Washington state
And with my sisters and I, who he so politely refers to as “The Coven”
Nothing holds him back really! He even volunteers with a group locally who provide support to “the elderly” returning from hospital – I should add he is significantly older than most of the people he looks after!
Not to mention travelling with visually impaired people to act as a support & guide to them on holiday.
Well now he has decided that he needs to do something else too – so on bank holiday weekend, he is going to abseil down the Leeds Armouries building to raise money for Sightsavers!
I know – nearly 83 and abseiling! You think he’d know better wouldn’t you!
But no – not my darling dad!
So it would mean a huge amount to us and to those people across the world who suffer sight problems if you could offer a little sponsorship money and cheer him on his way! There is of course a just giving page HERE – so any help you can give in his name (Reg Morris) would be gratefully received!
And of course any donations of a stiff drink for my nerves are just as welcome!
I can only hope to be as fit and active when I reach his age!
Go go G’dad R !
