I know it’s late in the month to join in the link up with Lucy at Dear Beautiful, but we’ve been waiting for our family holiday to catch a snap of my two lovelies in the same place!
University, distance and work commitments have kept them apart since Christmas and so we’ve had no opportunity to join in since then.
It turns out the Lake District is about the half way point between us all and so we all met up for a week, to have some serious family time. It always makes me smile that no matter how long they have been apart these two always slip back into their sibling relationship as though they have never been apart. Always pleased to see each other.
Always ready to laugh together
But most importantly, always ready to give each other the time they need to talk. There is a connection between them that none of the rest of use can understand, a link forged by years in bunk beds, hours of childhood games, shared history, and that link that only siblings understand!
It is some of my proudest parental moments to see my babies heads together, putting the world to rights and listening to each other as no one else can do. It’s then that I realise that no matter what the world may throw at them – they will always have each other and nothing will be too big or too scary for them to face – together!
